Details Acute Care Float Pool position at a Magnet-designated, Level 4 Trauma teaching hospital Floats within scope across medical, surgical, medical tele, surgical tele, infusion, ortho, and neurosurgery units Patient ratio of 1:5 Day shift (3x12, 7:00-19:30) or Night shift (3x12, 19:00-7:30) available Every other weekend required No call requirements Floating within hospital required; no floating to sister hospitals Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Level II trauma experience required Epic charting experience required EKG telemetry competency test required (Relias) Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, HFNC, and tracheostomy management Skilled in IV therapy, central and peripheral line management, and blood product administration Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and rapid response/code team participation Experience with CVA care, renal failure management, and wound care/wound vac Experience with cardiac drip management and titration preferred Two professional references required Additional Information Provide float pool nursing care across multiple medical and surgical specialty units within scope of practice COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions Scrubs provided for OR personnel; any color accepted otherwise RTO limited to 1 week maximum and cannot be requested during the first 2 weeks of assignment Prior UW staff must have 18-month separation before returning as a traveler First-time travelers may be considered and can be screened by the manager Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mileage radius restriction 36-week block scheduling not accommodated unless otherwise stated in posting American Traveler Job ID P-747387.
