Commercial Lender

A growing Louisiana-based community bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to help expand and develop its market presence. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lending experience who can independently develop relationships, grow a portfolio, and become a long-term leader within the organization. Develop and grow commercial banking relationships throughout the Lafayette market and surrounding areas

Build and manage a portfolio of CRE, C&I, and business banking relationships

Generate new loan and deposit opportunities through business development and community involvement

Structure, negotiate, and present commercial credit requests for approval

Maintain strong credit quality while managing client relationships throughout the lending process

Partner with underwriting and credit teams to ensure timely loan processing and portfolio management

Expand the bank's presence in a developing territory with support from executive leadership

Represent the bank within the local business community and professional organizations

Cross-sell treasury management, deposit, and other banking solutions to commercial clients

Approximately 5+ years of commercial lending experience preferred

Ability to independently manage and grow a commercial portfolio

Existing business development network and ability to bring relationships preferred

Strong understanding of credit analysis, loan structuring, and risk management

Community banking background preferred
