Registered Nurse-ICU-Weekend Shift

ICU Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our team in a stepdown unit. This role involves providing high-quality care to patients with complex medical conditions and managing a patient load of up to three individuals at a time.
Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a stepdown unit while monitoring patients' conditions and administering appropriate treatments.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Administer medications, including IV drips such as insulin, cardizem, heparin, Lasix, and low-dose pressors, as needed.
Educate patients and families on health management and treatment options.
Participate in unit activities and contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
BLS certification (must be through American Heart Association).
ACLS certification.
Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience preferred.
Experience with Epic EMR system is an advantage.
Work Schedule

• 12-hour shifts.
• Weekend requirement: 5 shifts every 6 weeks.
• Holiday rotation: Every other holiday.
• First to float as needed.

Orientation and Training
New hires will receive 3 days of floor orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the unit.
Dress Code
Scrubs should consist of navy blue pants and solid navy blue tops or solid white tops. Long sleeve shirts worn beneath scrubs must be in navy or white. Jackets may also be solid navy blue or white.
Patient Population
The unit cares for patients with various conditions, including respiratory disease processes, neurological disorders, chronic illnesses, and those affected by COVID-19.
Cancellation Policy
It's important to note that shifts may be canceled as per the cancellation policy, which allows for a limited number of cancellations within defined time frames without penalty.
