Post Doc Research Fellow Lab

General Description Laboratories in the Department of Biophysics and Biophysical Chemistry at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine invite applications for a Research Associate position specializing in single-molecule imaging. We seek a highly motivated and creative individual who has strong expertise in:

• 1) single-molecule fluorescence microscopy instrumentation, such as in vitro imaging using wide-field, objective- or prism-based total internal reflection, in vivo single-molecule localization microscopy or other types of superresolution imaging, and/or live cell single-molecule tracking;
• 3) Single-molecule data analysis using custom MATLAB or Python scripts.

The candidate should also have broad knowledge in molecular and cell biology and biophysics.

2) Provide instrumentation support and training for laboratory members

• 3) Provide imaging and data analysis support
• 4) Consult, assist, and lead collaborations of Interdisciplinary projects in basic and biomedical sciences

In addition, there will also be opportunities to develop novel single-molecule technologies driven by research and medical needs.

D. degree or equivalent , preferably with at least 3 years of postdoctoral experience , and have a strong record of productivity, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
