Cardiovascular Surgeon Position

Park Nicollet is searching for an experienced, dynamic, innovative Cardiovascular Surgeon to join our team at Methodist Hospital in St. This opportunity would be part of a three-surgeon group and highly skilled team of advanced practice clinicians. This position would be based at Methodist Hospital, with a practice that encompasses all adult cardiothoracic surgeries. This is a high-volume practice with complex coronary, valve, dissections, and aneurysms.

Candidates must be BC/BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery. New grads will be considered.

Provides health care and treatment of patients within the scope of practice as defined by one's training and/or Board Certification. Administers high quality care and service in accordance with Park Nicollet Health Services standards. Models behaviors consistent with group practice and Park Nicollet Health Services values.

Graduate of an accredited school of Medicine or Osteopathy

This position requires credentialing, following the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) guidelines.

Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and health care needs.

• Consults with and makes appropriate referral to other health care providers in abnormal or unusual cases.
• Maintains the medical record in accordance with PNHS standards.
• Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies.
• Serves as patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner, and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service.
• Assists in development of new policies, programs, procedures, or techniques in designated department.
• Participates in research, educational or other special projects as needed.
