Head of Recruiting & HR

Kforce's client in Woodbury, NY, a full-service accounting/consulting firm is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead key HR functions and support a high-performing, positive workplace. This role partners with leadership to drive HR strategy and execution across recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compliance, payroll oversight, benefits, and HR programs. Please note this is not a remote job and no relocation assistance is available.Align HR strategies with business goals; Advise on workforce planning and organizational design
Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding; Partner with hiring managers on talent needs
Lead performance management, employee development, and engagement initiatives
Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations, ensuring timely resolution of issues
Maintain HRIS data integrity, employee records, and compliance with employment laws
Support audits, reporting, and HR policy development
Drive HR programs, training, and firm-wide initiatives, including special projects
This role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to balance strategy with execution in a confidential, service-oriented environment.
Degree in Human Resources or related field
6+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices
Significant experience in employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration
Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail

Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
