Fabrication Welder WEEKLY PAY

Position Description: The Welder is responsible for timely and efficient welding and fabricating of material at jobsites and/or facility. This role's objective is to safely, accurately, and productively move and produce material that satisfies internal and external customers.

21/hr, with higher pay based on experience

• Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of material up to 51lbs

Starting pay of $21/hr, with higher pay based on experience

• Communicate issues with fixtures, customer prints, material issues, welding equipment, and supporting welding equipment and power/hand tools used in the welding process

Follow and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices at all times to ensure safety of self and others

Establish priorities for efficiently staging, processing, and packaging materials.

Inspect and verify all aspects of the material when receiving, producing, or packaging size, grade, measurements, heat, quantity, etc.

Scrutinize customer requirements and special instructions to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.

Confirm materials and parts are produced to print.

Ensure inventory is accurate.

Ensure audit and material traceability procedures are being followed throughout the process.

Working at a job site or facility within OSHA guidelines; Must work with hot welding processes and products

Facility is a multiple shift operation. Must possess the ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call at various times including possible weekends and holidays

Ability to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to eight hours per shift. Capable of ascending and descending material handling equipment

Wear proper PPE at all times (as described in company policy)

Understanding of SPS policies and procedures

Basic shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) knowledge, use of associated tools and welding relevant equipment.

Proven ability to read and understand prints, documents, and/or drawings

Proven experience operating material handling equipment

Experience operating fabrication equipment

Mechanical comprehension

Strong computer, tablet, or mobile device skills

High School diploma or G.Ability to plan and execute short and long-term goals

Experience in continuous improvement and/or quality management
