CPA/Senior Tax Preparer

As a Senior Tax Associate, you'll play an important role in tax preparation, review, planning, and consulting for a diverse client base across multiple industries. Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corporations, C-corporations, and trusts.

Identify tax planning opportunities and communicate findings to Supervisors.

Conduct tax research and apply findings accurately to client situations.

Develop increasing proficiency in entity-level taxation and multi-entity structures.

Coordinate closely with the TSA team to ensure proper document flow, engagement letters, and status tracking.

Collaborate with the CAS team to understand bookkeeping context and resolve discrepancies affecting tax returns.

Utilize firm workflow tools and tax software effectively and consistently.

Support Tax Associates by answering questions, providing constructive feedback, and modeling best practices.

Assist in training new hires and interns.

Begin learning to review tax returns prepared by tax associates.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.

Minimum of 3–5 years of public accounting tax experience with increasing complexity of returns.

Proficiency with tax preparation software, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

CPA license or CPA exam eligible.

Master’s degree in accounting or taxation.

Experience with entity-level tax planning and advisory conversations.
