Structural Engineer

You understand your customer’s environment and how to develop the digital engineering and finite element modeling solutions for their mission. Your ability to translate real-world needs into technical specifications makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused engineering solution. As a Structural Engineer on our team, you have the chance to shape the customer’s mission by supporting our KC-135 engineering team. Your customer will trust you to not only analyze, design, and develop these systems, but also evolve them with technology solutions. On our team, you’ll be able to broaden your skill set into areas like finite element modeling and computer aided design. Grow your skills by merging finite element modeling and digital engineering to create an airframe structural technical plan. Experience with computer aided design (CAD) tools such as CATIA or SolidWorks

Ability to create or complete finite element models using load data obtained from the original equipment manufacturer or data obtained from structural test fixtures

Secret clearance

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field and 5+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry, or Master's degree in an Engineering field and 3+ years of experience in the Aerospace industry

Experience with structural teardown plans, non-destructive and destructive inspections, crack growth behavior, joint load flow, stress severity factors, environmental stresses, and fractographic analysis

Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).
