Associate Attorney - Matrimonial & Family Law Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Compensation: $130,000+ DOE + Performance-Based Bonus

AppleOne has been exclusively asked to partner with a highly respected boutique law firm in Fort Lauderdale to identify an experienced Associate Attorney specializing in Matrimonial and Family Law .

This is an excellent opportunity for a well-rounded Florida attorney who enjoys taking ownership of cases and is confident both inside and outside of the courtroom .

Our client is not simply looking for an attorney who has been exposed to family law. They are seeking a strong, polished and capable attorney who can independently manage cases, work directly with clients, prepare and argue hearings, draft pleadings and orders, interact confidently with judges and opposing counsel, and take matters through trial when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Florida family law and the professional presence to take control of a hearing, command a courtroom and effectively advocate for their clients.

The Associate Attorney will manage a diverse caseload of matrimonial and family-law matters and will be responsible for:

Independently managing family-law matters from initial case strategy through resolution or trial

Handling divorce, child custody/time-sharing, child support, relocation, prenuptial agreements and other matrimonial and family-law matters

Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, proposed orders, agreements, discovery and other legal documents

Developing litigation and case strategies based on the individual circumstances of each matter

Managing discovery, evidence, exhibits and litigation deadlines

Advising clients regarding case strategy, legal options, risks and potential outcomes

Collaborating effectively with other attorneys, paralegals and support staff

Maintaining accurate timekeeping and meeting a minimum billing requirement of 125 billable hours per month

Strong experience practicing matrimonial and/or family law

Hands‑on courtroom and litigation experience

Strong experience drafting pleadings, motions, proposed orders and other legal documents

Strong knowledge of Florida family‑law procedures and practices
