Nidec Group WelderThe welder joins, fabricates, and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques and operating various welding devices. Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process.Responsibilities & DutiesRead and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at handPerform MIG, TIG and other types of welds based on project needsSelect proper fillers for jobs based on previous experience or project instructionsConserve resources whenever possible to ensure budgetary integrity and client satisfactionDe-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface textureUse specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperatureWeld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positionsKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesHigh school diploma/GED preferredExperience operating as a commercial welder a plusCurrent and valid certification a plusExperience working with power toolsOutstanding attention to detailKnowledge of warehouse site best practices and safety proceduresEqual Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at NidecNidec is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
