Jooble Improves Job Search: 5 Key Updates to the Mobile App

In the competitive world of job search platforms, Jooble is leaping forward with its latest update to its mobile app, available in 67 countries worldwide. This update speeds up how job seekers interact with job postings, providing marketers with quality traffic. Users can navigate the app faster, make informed clicks, and find their dream job.

Let’s explore the key features.

What’s new

What have we decided to do to help job seekers on their journey to their dream job?

Streamlined user onboarding

Jooble has reimagined the onboarding process to significantly reduce churn rates in the early stages of the user funnel. We have streamlined the profession and region selection flow by upgrading the recommendation algorithm, which helps users find the best-matched career opportunities. As a result, over 95% of new users successfully complete onboarding and start their job search journey.

  • Multiple job subscriptions. Users can now subscribe to up to 20 job alerts, a 300% increase from the previous limit of 5. Our algorithm carefully selects the most relevant profession for each user based on their preferences during onboarding. This update significantly boosts the visibility of job postings that match the user’s interests, enhancing the quality of incoming traffic to Jooble.
  • In some countries, we continue to experiment to understand what job seekers prefer most and what will be helpful to them. For example, if a candidate chooses “driver”, the app recommends “category B driver” and “security driver” as additional options that may interest them. If these tests show promising results, we’ll scale them to all countries. In this way, the user immediately subscribes to the jobs they’re interested in and receives immediate results. It significantly improves the quality of job seeker traffic for Jooble clients.
  • We’ve simplified the choice of country. We’ve seen that users could have difficulty completing the onboarding process, so we decided to simplify that stage. We show the user the most popular countries among our users and the country they’re currently in. Thus, the user can choose a country with just one click.

Enhanced job matching algorithm

Our new mixed alert view technology for multi-keyword and multi-region job ranking, coupled with smart tagging, has dramatically improved key metrics:

  • Increased away rate
  • Higher paid click-share
  • Improved conversion rates

For our partners, this means higher-quality traffic and more engaged candidates.

Intelligent job recommendations

We’ve improved the job description page structure by incorporating dynamic recommendations. Previously, a personalized list of jobs was generated from each subscription but now it considers user behavior patterns and provides more relevant results.

This reduces user churn on these crucial pages. Job seekers now spend more time exploring relevant opportunities, increasing the likelihood of finding their perfect match.

User-friendly interface

The updated UI/UX design, including job tags and location icons, allows users to make more informed decisions before clicking on a job posting. As a result, marketers get better applicant traffic because candidates have a clearer understanding of the role before they apply. Job seekers get a glimpse of the vacancy in just a few seconds by simply glancing at the page.

Tags in jobs

Tags help the user understand the job without opening the job card. This allows job seekers to make a more informed decision about whether the job really suits them.

Recommended jobs

When a user goes to a job card, in addition to the job, they can scroll down and see additional jobs that might interest them. Jooble selects those jobs according to the interests of other job users with similar requests.

Deep linking integration

Deep linking enables users to directly access the Jooble app from Google search results, bypassing the web page. This offers users a more personalized and seamless experience by retaining their previous subscriptions and selected jobs.

Deep linking has shown impressive results:

  • 15% increase in user sessions;
  • Users accessing Jooble through deep links show 2.5-3 times better performance metrics.

Deep linking promotes user retention, increases user engagement, and makes the platform more effective for job seekers and marketers.

The impact in numbers: what results did we get

  • The implemented changes led to a 53% increase in the number of active users.
  • The number of sessions in May 2024 reached 1 million.
  • 3.3 million total app installations to date.
  • Ranked among the top job search apps in Google Play Market and App Store globally.

Jooble is committed to pushing the boundaries of mobile job search technology. Our roadmap includes features designed to increase user engagement and drive better traffic for our partners. And this is just the beginning. We expect the updates to significantly improve key metrics such as conversion rates and candidate quality.

By continually improving our platform, we’re not just helping job seekers find jobs — we’re connecting companies with their ideal candidates more efficiently than ever. Stay tuned!
