Health Information Management (HIM) -Site Coordinator - Touro

Overview The HIM Site Coordinator is responsible to monitor all HIM functions as it relates to the medical record processing and quality control for the legal medical record. Coordinates all HIM operational functions that are performed onsite. Implements facility policies and procedures to organize and maintain the medical records (health information) system in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. Responsibilities Coordinate Medical Record processing of facilities onsite documents. Liaison for physician chart completion and assist physicians when necessary. Perform audits, provide trending reports, and work with end users to improve compliance with the accuracy of documents in the medical records. Coordinate Release of Information functions. Perform all necessary on-site office functions. Provide education to end users with regards to the medical record. Education and Experience Education Minimum Required: Associate\'s Degree Preferred: Bachelor\'s degree Experience Minimum Required: Two years of experience in a related field required with an Associate’s degree, no experience required with a bachelor’s degree. Preferred: Health Information Management experience preferred.
