Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights (3x12-Hour Shifts) | 13–18 Week Assignments Available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting with potential to float to other units serving the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to telemetry changes
• Care for patients who may require ventilator management
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Participate in holiday coverage rotation, working at least every other holiday
• Complete orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate with an acceptable passing score

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — permanent Ohio license or compact state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with ventilator-dependent patients
• Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or telemetry setting
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation in a clinical environment
