Desktop Support Technician - 12 months extendable contract (or can convert to FTE) W2 only, no C2C, no sponsorship, no third parties. About the job A global finance software company is expanding its internal IT support function and is looking for an experienced Desktop Support Technician to join the team on site. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role supporting a mixed Mac and Windows user base across hardware, software, connectivity and mobile devices, with a walk-up support desk alongside ticket queue work. You'll own issues end to end, elevate where needed, and get involved in small projects and documentation as the environment grows. Requirements 3+ years of desktop support or service desk experience covering both PC and Mac, or a bachelor's degree with relevant hands-on experience Strong troubleshooting across laptop and desktop hardware, including repairs, upgrades, imaging and new build deployment Day-to-day support of macOS and Windows 10/11 in a corporate environment Experience supporting iOS and Android mobile devices Active Directory user account administration and endpoint security tooling Software distribution and patching via a UEM platform such as Workspace ONE/AirWatch Wired and Wi-Fi network troubleshooting, plus local and network printing support Exchange and Google Workspace administration, including shared mailboxes and distribution lists Ticket management using ServiceNow, with clear documentation and knowledge base upkeep Support of collaboration tooling such as Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Comfortable providing face-to-face walk-up support as well as remote assistance Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical users Certifications such as ACMT, CCT, ITIL or CompTIA (held or in progress) are welcomed Able to work independently and prioritise in a fast-paced, high-volume environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
