By fostering resilience and empowerment, we aim to transform the mental health landscape in our community.
Work Environment\nThis position offers a flexible remote work setup, allowing you to effectively balance your professional responsibilities with personal commitments. While your primary work will be conducted virtually, you will remain an integral part of our in-clinic team through regular meetings and collaborative case discussions. Work hours are scheduled Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the understanding that occasional flexibility may be required to meet the needs of our clients.

- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients process their trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and foster a sense of recovery. \n
- Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care. \n
- Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring client safety and wellbeing. \n
- Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, support options, and healing techniques to empower them throughout their recovery journey. \n
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. \n
- Engage in regular case consultations, attend team meetings, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your expertise in trauma treatment. \n
- Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve the quality of care provided. \n
Our clinic primarily serves individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We prioritize creating a safe space for clients from diverse backgrounds, especially those from the LGBTQ+ community. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in helping these individuals navigate their recovery, promoting resilience, and rebuilding their lives.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A master's or doctorate degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited university. \n
- A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or psychologist. \n
- A deep understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic approaches. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that enable you to create an empathetic and supportive environment for clients. \n
- The ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while providing support to clients in crisis. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in using various computer applications for documentation. \n
- A collaborative mindset that fosters productive interactions in a multidisciplinary team setting. \n
- \n
- At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in providing trauma-focused therapy and interventions, which will enhance the quality and effectiveness of your work. \n
We offer an attractive salary range of $90,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
\n- \n
- Health insurance coverage to support your well-being and that of your family. \n
- A retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions to secure your future. \n
- Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to encourage work-life balance. \n
- Professional liability coverage to protect you in your practice. \n
- Continuing education and professional development support to advance your skills. \n
- Opportunities for career advancement within our trauma-informed practice. \n
- A collaborative and supportive team atmosphere fostering growth and well-being. \n
At Queer Self Care Mental Therapy Center, we believe in investing in our employees and their professional development. As you grow in your role, you will have access to further training and education, allowing for advancement into leadership positions or specialized therapy roles focused on trauma. Your commitment and contributions to our mission will open doors for continuous career progression.
