Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms, providing therapeutic support tailored to meet each client's unique needs.

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client interactions, including progress notes that capture patient advancements toward therapeutic goals, ensuring all reports are completed by the end of each work shift.

• Monitor patients’ progress and well-being, documenting significant changes in behavior, and advocating for appropriate services when necessary.

• Facilitate an orientation process for new clients and their families, allowing them to understand the services available and the structure of therapy sessions.

• Develop treatment plans grounded in the latest evidence-based practices, utilizing the DSM-5 for diagnosing and formulating clinical strategies.

• Manage crisis situations effectively by utilizing de-escalation techniques and providing immediate support in instances of distress or crises.

• Communicate regularly with other healthcare providers as part of an integrated care approach to ensure comprehensive support for clients.

• Engage in professional development through continuous education and training to stay current with best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role is centered around serving a diverse range of clients, including adults, children, and families from various backgrounds. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals experiencing a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Your expertise in marital and family therapy will be invaluable as you facilitate healing and growth within these units, focusing on fostering healthy communication and coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as either an LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a strong focus on therapeutic services.

• Proven experience providing marriage and family therapy to clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• In-depth understanding of DSM-5 and proficiency in developing comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plans.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment, adapting to evolving client needs.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems is highly preferred.
