As a family-owned company built on integrity, safety, and service excellence, we continue to grow by investing in our employees, training programs, and industry-leading equipment.Our services include:Industrial cleaning and maintenanceHazardous and non-hazardous waste transportationIndustrial waste disposalEmergency spill responseMaterials recyclingUsed oil recyclingWastewater disposalMaterial storage and managementSite remediation servicesPosition SummaryMidwest Environmental Services is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Environmental Project Supervisor to lead environmental service crews on industrial and remediation projects throughout the Midwest.This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing hazardous waste cleanups, emergency spill response activities, industrial cleaning operations, site remediation projects, equipment decontamination, and transportation of waste materials. The Environmental Project Supervisor ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who thrives in the field, enjoys mentoring employees, and is committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & OperationsSupervise and direct Environmental Service Technicians and field crews.Coordinate project staffing, schedules, and daily work assignments.Conduct pre-job site assessments and project reviews.Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within scope.Serve as the primary field contact for customers and maintain positive client relationships.Complete project documentation, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), OSHA paperwork, and maintenance service requests.Environmental & Industrial ServicesLead hazardous and non-hazardous waste cleanup projects.Perform and supervise industrial cleaning operations utilizing vacuum trucks, water blasters, pressure washers, and related equipment.Support site remediation, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination, and facility maintenance projects.Respond to environmental emergencies, including chemical and wastewater spills.Assist with material transportation, loading, unloading, and disposal activities.Safety & CompliancePromote and enforce a strong safety culture.Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company policies.Enforce Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and other safety procedures.Verify proper use of required PPE and respiratory protection.Conduct vehicle and equipment inspections before and after each project.Maintain operational readiness of equipment and supplies.Physical & Environmental RequirementsLift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.Work in industrial environments and confined spaces when required.Wear respiratory protection and maintain a clean-shaven face for proper respirator fit.QualificationsRequiredMinimum age of 21 years.2+ years of experience in environmental services, industrial cleaning, remediation, or emergency response.2+ years of supervisory, crew lead, or project management experience.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.Ability to travel and work flexible hours as project demands require.PreferredValid CDL Class A License with Tanker Endorsement.Hazmat Endorsement.2+ years of CDL driving experience.2+ years of verifiable vacuum truck operation experience within the last three years.Experience operating manual and automatic transmissions.TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).Why Join Midwest Environmental Services?At Midwest, safety is more than a policy, it's a core value.
