About the Role
The Company is seeking a BSA Officer to lead and maintain its BSA/AML Compliance Program, with a specific focus on the unique risk profile of diplomatic and foreign government accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the program meets all regulatory requirements, including elevated due diligence and monitoring standards for foreign mission banking relationships. This role involves program leadership, regulatory reporting, customer identification and verification, suspicious activity monitoring, and oversight of the Bank's automated BSA/AML monitoring and reporting platform. The BSA Officer will also be the subject-matter expert for high-risk relationships, oversee the OFAC compliance program, and be involved in risk assessment, audit and exam management, governance reporting, training, and regulatory change management. Applicants for the BSA Officer position at the company should have a B.A. in a related field, with an advanced degree being a plus, and at least 7 years' experience in a bank BSA/AML compliance program. A CAMS or CBAP certification is required, or must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Direct experience with high-risk or specialized customer types, such as foreign missions, is strongly preferred. The role demands a working knowledge of relevant regulations and guidance, a positive attitude, strong partnership orientation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Excellent communication skills, the ability to interact with various stakeholders, and a resilient, autonomous work ethic are also essential. Experience with Verafin is a plus.
