Senior Accounting Associate, Foundation and Community

Working closely with the Foundation, the Office of Inclusion & Community is the engine that drives the philanthropic culture and strong sense of community among the employees of Point72, a global asset management company.What you'll doManage the day‑to‑day accounting operations for a portfolio of private foundations and corporate community programs, including financial reporting, audit coordination, tax support, and account reconciliations.Lead the month‑end and year‑end close processes across multiple private foundations, including preparation and posting of accruals and other journal entries.Oversee fundraising and donation receivables, including tracking, recording, and reconciling related activity to ensure completeness and accuracy.Perform monthly financial reviews and reporting to validate the integrity of financial information and proper coding across entities.Prepare and review account reconciliations on a recurring basis to ensure accuracy across multiple legal entities.Support state and federal tax reporting requirements, partnering with external tax preparers as needed.Coordinate and support the annual audit process, including preparation of schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and addressing follow‑up items.Assist with banking relationships and ongoing cash management activities.What's requiredBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field as well as a master’s degree in accounting and/or CPA licensureMinimum of 5 years of accounting experience with exposure to nonprofit or private foundation accountingDemonstrated knowledge of GAAP, month-end close processes, and accrual accountingExperience supporting external audits and preparing tax filings, including Form 990-PF, Form 990-T, and related state filingsExperience with general ledger and accounting systems, including Workday Financial ManagementAdvanced Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs, SUMIFs, pivot tables, and complex formulasFamiliarity with AI tools and emerging technologies, and a demonstrated interest in applying them to accounting operations and reportingStrong quantitative and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities across multiple entitiesStrong relationship and customer management skills, with a resourceful, hands-on approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to the highest ethical standardsWe take care of our peopleWe invest in our people, their careers, their health, and their well-being. For more information, visit .The annual base salary range for this role is $130,000 - $140,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
