Executive Account Director, Business Development (Biotech CDSD) - US - East Coast Region

Senior Account Director role at Thermo Fisher Scientific (PPD division) focused on driving revenue growth from assigned biotech key accounts in the West Coast region. Position involves developing strategic sales plans, managing client relationships, and executing RFP responses for Clinical Development Services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans for assigned global key accounts to drive revenue growth
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior-level client contacts across procurement, R&D, and vendor management
• Drive RFP/RFI responses and contract negotiations to secure preferred provider opportunities
• Partner with internal project and business management teams to ensure unified approach and client satisfaction
• Identify market opportunities and expand share of wallet within existing biotech accounts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years business development, sales, or related field experience
• Strong preference for clinical business development and key account management in pharma, biotech, or medical device
• CRO sales experience in Phase II and III clinical trials preferred
• Deep understanding of drug development regulatory landscape and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated track record of achieving measurable sales results and closing deals
• Excellent customer relationship management and commercial negotiation skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities handling multiple concurrent accounts
