The crusher operator will work in a continuous flow environment, from raw material unpacking to loading hoppers, operating equipment, and transferring material into storage tanks for further processing. Your future starts here!Key Responsibilities:Performs all production tasks on the crusher, piece of propriety equipment, as assignedMonitors processing equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as setups, calibrations, troubleshooting, and product testingInspects and examines cylinders for defects, dents, and cracks prior to collecting specialty gasesDemonstrate the ability to be a safety leader by fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring a safe work environment with a commitment to zero injuries, emissions, and leaksMust safely operate a forklift, and clamps, when necessaryUnderstands hazards of various gases, size and contents of cylinders by reading safety data sheets and cylinder labels as requiredAccurately maintains records and ensures that all required procedures are followed in order to comply with local, state and federal regulationsFollow and support all processes and procedures in order to prevent a negative impact to Safety, Quality and/or the Environment Keep work area clean and free of unneeded cylinders and equipmentAssists the supervisors with tracking incoming and outgoing production inventoryUpdate lean boards as required, tracking through put, down time and performs root cause to assist in driving continuous improvementMaintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S and lean project initiativesMaintain ISO programs including 9001 and 14001 and comply with all OSHA requirementsCrosstrain in other areas of the plant, specifically in the destruction department.Trouble shoot equipment and perform minor repairs when the equipment is downOther duties as assigned Certifications Required: EPA 608 certification required upon hire or must be obtained within 6 monthsMust obtain and/or be able to obtain certification within 60 days of employment for forklift, and clamp QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED requiredAbility to work overtime hours including weekends when necessaryStrong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools Ability to learn technical chemical processes, gas terminology, cylinder types, and sizes quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Knowledge of and experience working with pressure vessels and gas pipelinesAbility to communicate concisely and effectively in written and verbal formats with stakeholders at multiple levels in the businessWorks well with others and independentlyOrganized with great attention to detailSelf-motivated individual, capable of working with minimum supervisionFunctional computer skills required (Microsoft suite and data entry)Ability to follow job instructions, be aware of job responsibilities, and meet KPIsMaterial handling equipment familiarityPhysical Demand Requirements:Frequently pushes, pulls, moves, and/or lifts up to 50 pounds independentlySitting 10% of the day; standing and/or walking 80-90% of the timeLifting/Carrying from one level to another approximately 20% of the timeFrequently moves cylinders that weigh up to 200 pounds with a four-wheel cartFrequently moves crusher box into place by pushingFrequently identifies written information on cylinders such as serial numbers, manufacture date, etc. Frequently operates a computer using a traditional keyboard to input detailed information such as serial numbersManipulations (seizing, holding, grasping or otherwise working with hands) up to 50-75% of the dayFrequently drives a motorized vehicle or powered industrial truck (i.e. Forklift) and safely maneuvers in restrictive spacesStooping and kneeling up to 40% of the dayFrequently communicates detailed information to others. Must be able to exchange accurate information that others can understand.
