ETF Account Manager - Southwest

Position Description We are seeking an Account Manager to join our U.S. Global Wealth Management (GWM) team. PIMCO is a recognized leader in active fixed income ETFs and is committed to expanding its ETF business to establish a dominant presence in this market. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial team within a rapidly growing segment of GWM, building on the strength of our established ETF franchise and contributing to a strategic growth initiative for the firm. As part of our continued expansion, we are enhancing our platform to support new product launches and deepen engagement with a broad spectrum of GWM clients across the region. The Account Manager will gain valuable experience working with wirehouse advisors and teams, independent advisors, and registered investment advisers (RIAs), helping to drive growth in a key business area. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with proven sales expertise and deep knowledge of ETFs. They possess strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, a strategic mindset, and a keen understanding of the evolving financial advisory landscape. Adaptable and results‑driven, they thrive in dynamic environments, demonstrate high integrity, and are committed to continuous learning and professional growth. Responsibilities Drive territory performance by maximizing sales with financial advisor clients, consistently exceeding net and gross sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Develop and execute a strategic territory business plan aligned with long‑term goals and a consultative sales approach. Identify and cultivate new partnerships to expand PIMCO’s ETF business among wealth managers at broker‑dealers, wirehouses, and RIAs. Design and implement marketing and sales campaigns to deepen engagement with existing partners and clients. Collaborate with GWM colleagues across sales to champion ETF‑focused initiatives and navigate complex client relationships. Maintain deep expertise in PIMCO’s products, platforms, investment themes, market strategies, and policies. Represent PIMCO ETFs at industry conferences and client‑facing events. Adhere to all travel, expense reimbursement, and activity reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner. Uphold the highest standards of compliance with industry regulations, client firm policies, and PIMCO’s internal guidelines. Provide timely feedback to PIMCO leadership on product demand, sales trends, and client satisfaction. Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree required; CFA, CPA, or MBA designations are a plus. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in ETF‑related client‑facing roles, business development, field sales, or similar functions. Established relationships with key prospects and clients within the Southwestern U.S. region. Proven success in territory management with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas. Deep understanding of the ETF ecosystem and its dynamics. Solid background in financial services, with knowledge of investment trends and advisor practices. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for contributing to the growth of ETF distribution infrastructure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging partners, presenting sales materials, and conveying technical product information. Strong client engagement capabilities, with a history of building lasting relationships and achieving high client satisfaction. Active Series 7 and 63 licenses required. Clean U‑4 record. Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time. Experience working with broker‑dealer home office ETF contacts is preferred. Self‑starter with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment. PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
