Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver ongoing, trauma-informed counseling services to adult survivors, focusing on individual needs and fostering resilience.

• Conduct comprehensive safety assessments to identify clients at high risk for homicide, suicide, or continued domestic violence.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions employing a trauma and strengths-based approach to help clients process complex emotions and experiences.

• Guide clients in developing personalized strategies to achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their overall wellbeing.

• Utilize our electronic medical/health records system to document client interactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards.

• Engage in continuous professional development and supervision to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge relevant to crisis intervention and trauma recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adult survivors of domestic violence and other traumatic experiences. Understanding the distinct needs of this vulnerable population and employing a client-centered approach will be crucial. You'll work with clients from various backgrounds, making cultural competency and sensitivity essential attributes for success in this role.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is required, equipping you with the theoretical foundation necessary for effective practice.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California is mandatory.

• Strong computer proficiency is needed, particularly in utilizing word processing, email systems, spreadsheets, and electronic medical records for documentation and communication.

Compensation and Benefits\n
