Accounts Receivable Specialist

Overview Pay: $21 - $23 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM Location: Chesapeake, VA RS Andrews of Tidewater , part of the ARS family of brands, provides HVAC and plumbing services. What We Offer: Insurance access after 31 days of employment Low-cost medical insurance (starting at ~$5/week) Dental and vision insurance options Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) 401(k) with company match Paid time off & holiday pay Company-paid life insurance Responsibilities What You’ll Do: Track accounts receivable and collection activities Investigate outstanding invoices and initiate collections or liens as needed Perform audits to ensure accurate invoices and allocations Assist technicians with residential financing approvals Reconcile bank statements, prepare journal entries, and handle month-end duties Generate and distribute financial reports and aging reports Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies Support basic accounts payable and receivable tasks Qualifications What You’ll Bring: 2-4 years of accounting experience (or equivalent training/education) Familiarity with standard accounting principles Strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Note: This posting outlines potential pay ranges and opportunities, which are not guaranteed and do not represent a formal offer.
