Travel Intensive Care RN | New Hartford, New York

Stepping into this ICU nursing role, you'll gain hands-on exposure to different clinical settings and leadership styles. You'll join teams that prioritize innovation and excellence, broadening your clinical acumen by working with advanced equipment such as IABP, CRRT (Prismaflex or NxStage), and TTM (Artic Sun). Utilize and further hone your critical care skills across a high-acuity, 42-bed unit, rotating among Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma specialties. Floating within specialized ICUs ensures adaptability and a rich resume of diverse challenges.

Schedule:

• Night shift: 6:30p-7a (block scheduling not guaranteed)
• Will require floating to all units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding)

Your qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU) and documented travel assignment(s)
• Previous travel RN assignment(s) required
• Recent experience as an ICU Charge/Manager RN (2 references needed)
• Proficiency in EPIC EMR
• CRRT and Prismaflex experience
• Heart (CV) experience highly preferred
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certification
• Active NY RN license (plus verification of all RN licenses via NURSYS)
• Valid driver's license matching submitted demographics

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care for complex cases including strokes, sepsis, CHF, neuro interventions, post-stemi, trauma, surg/post-op, and CV surgeries
• Utilize advanced ICU equipment
• Participate in patient assessments, interventions, and continuous critical monitoring
• Occasional float to multiple critical care units
