SOCIAL WORKER (MA/MSW) - INPATIENT - PERDIEM

The Clinical Social Worker assists in integrating social services into patient care, discharge planning, and after‑care planning with other hospital departments, external service organizations, agencies, and health care facilities. The Social Worker provides direct patient care as appropriate and ensures compliance with quality patient care and regulatory standards. The Social Worker uses psychotherapeutic skills to help patients and families understand, identify, and resolve complex problems arising from psychiatric illnesses through group and individual therapies. Credentials: Licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW, MFT, or Registered Associate/Intern preferred. Licensure or registration required for services in the Partial Hospitalization Program/Outpatient Services Department. Experience: Previous placement or internship in a psychiatric setting preferred. Knowledge & Skills: Must be able to perform assignments with minimal supervision. Must be able to make sound, independent judgments based on scientific and/or ethical principles. Must be able to collaborate with multidisciplinary team members appropriately. Must be able to adapt to varying workloads and work assignments on a constant basis. Must have effective comprehensive reading skills and strong written and verbal communication skills.
