Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Outpatient Clinic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid compact or state license required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Epic experience is required - Skills in central line insertion and management, implanted ports care and maintenance, PICC lines care and maintenance - Ability to start IVs Description: This position is for a registered nurse in an outpatient clinic setting. The role involves assisting with various clinical procedures related to interventional radiology. The nurse will support the management and care of patients with central lines, peripheral IVs, and implanted ports. Candidates should have experience in infection prevention and isolation precautions. Knowledge of pressure ulcer assessment and prevention is necessary. The nurse will work with a small team, contributing to a ratio of 1 nurse to 2 patients. Self-motivation and the ability to think critically are essential in this role. The clinic has a daily patient census of 6-10 patients. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various teams including IV, physical therapy, and social services. The patient population primarily includes adults with a variety of diagnoses. No on-call or weekend shifts are required for this position.
