Chief Deputy Executive Director, External Outreach & Strategy

Covered California seeks a Chief Deputy Executive Director, External Outreach & Strategy . This is one of California’s premier executive leadership opportunities. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Chief Deputy Executive Director, External Outreach & Strategy is a key member of the executive leadership team responsible for shaping how Covered California reaches, informs, and serves millions of Californians. This executive provides strategic leadership across outreach, marketing, communications, public affairs, and community engagement while influencing statewide policy, strengthening public trust, and advancing the organization’s mission.
The CDED provides executive leadership for four integrated divisions that together drive Covered California’s consumer-facing strategy:
- Outreach and Sales
- Communications and Public Relations
- External Affairs and Community Engagement
