May work from machine assembly blueprints using hand and power tools. Must be mechanically inclined.DutiesBuilds components pertinent to the functions of the machinesBasic understanding of blueprints and schematicsAbility to comprehend job instructionsMust poses basic hand toolsAbility to wire junction boxesMust have knowledge of measuring skills and accurately read precision measurementsRequirementsKnowledge of welding, fabricationKnowledge of heavy riggingSafely use a drill press, small mill, band sawWorking knowledge of blueprints, schematicsAbility to work independently without supervision on simple assembliesBasic shop math skillsTeam Oriented; ability to communicate effectively and get along with fellow employeesRegular attendance and daily punctuality are necessaryAbility to work overtime when needed and occasional weekends requiredExtremely detailed orientatedClear, concise, and effective verbal and written communication skillsAble to multitask and have high level of organizational skillsAble to maintain a safe and clean work environment while complying with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulationsSafety operate a forklift and overhead craneMust be able to use power tools and have own hand toolsHave basic computer skills in Excel, Word and emailExperienceBlueprint reading: 2 years (Required)Hand & power tools: 2 years (Required)Machine building: 2 years (Required)Electrical wiring: 2 years (Required)Mechanical: 2 years (Required)Precision measuring instruments: 2 years (Preferred)Job Type: Full-timePay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hourExpected hours: 40-50 per weekCompensation Package:Hourly payOvertime paySchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftEvening shiftExperience:Blueprint reading: 2 years (Required)Power tools: 2 years (Required)Electrical experience: 2 years (Required)Ability to Relocate:Grand Rapids, MI 49506: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
