Facilities Aide

RiverMead is seeking a skilled and dedicated full-time Facilities Aide to join our facilities team. As a Facilities Aide, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the living environment for our residents. The position hours will be Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM—3:30 PM, with some on-call hours.
This position includes painting, basic repairs to mechanical systems, minor repairs to and installation of household appliances, light carpentry and plumbing work. You will perform general repairs and maintenance in all buildings including preventative maintenance. In this position you will be a part of the team that maintains the appearance of Rivermead and keeps things running smoothly.

Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs and maintenance duties in residences and community buildings as assigned. Perform minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, etc.
- Assist with general carpentry, and remodeling projects which may include painting and wall repair. Assist residents with move-in by performing services such as hanging pictures, moving furniture, building shelves, etc.
- Perform minor plumbing repairs such as setting toilets, replacing faucets and showerheads.
- Assist with maintenance of grounds as directed including mowing lawns, trimming and edging. Clean grounds and remove litter as needed. Perform janitorial duties as assigned. Clean work areas, machines, tools and equipment.
- Participate in snow removal process as directed. This includes plowing roadways and parking areas and shoveling and blowing snow from walkways.
- Be subject to emergency call-ins and 24 hour on-call rotation schedule. Respond to resident emergencies as required.
- Maintain pool systems as directed.
- Perform other duties as required to help drive our Vision, fulfil out Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years' experience in general repairs and maintenance.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to comprehend instructions and complete basic math calculations accurately.
- Valid state driver license and satisfactory driving record as determined by RiverMead.
- Pool/Spa maintenance certification preferred.
