We are expanding across Texas, and we are looking for a Billing & Accounts Manager to fully own the financial, billing, and accounting side of our operations.

Let’s be clear: We are not looking for a traditional medical biller.

We are looking for an experienced people manager with a strong accounting, bookkeeping, or AP/AR background. This is a ground-floor, high-impact role where you will work directly with company executives and your own team to build scalable systems from scratch. What You’ll Do (Your Core Ownership)

As our Billing & Accounts Manager, you will be the engine behind our financial operations and the face of our client relationships.

• Own AP/AR & Systems: Manage QuickBooks Online, process vendor invoices seamlessly through Bill.com, submit billing to insurance carriers, and reconcile all inbound payments.
• Drive Revenue Integrity: Tackle claims appeals when carriers process incorrectly, and aggressively follow up on aging receivables to keep our cash flow healthy.
• Cultivate Client & Partner Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance carriers and doctor clients. You’ll own the Billing team inbox, know our clients by name, and ensure their financial experience with us is entirely frictionless.
• Architect Our Growth: Build, test, and improve our billing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as we scale out our clinic network.
• Lead & Grow Your Team: Supervise our current billing staff, champion a collaborative team culture, and actively interview, hire, and train new team members as the department expands.

What We’re Looking For

• The Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in AP/AR, bookkeeping, or general accounting operations.
• The Tech Stack: Deep, real-world proficiency in QuickBooks Online and comfort with AP automation tools like Bill.com (or similar platforms).
• The Leadership Mindset: Natural leadership and organizational skills. While a background training or supervising direct reports is a big plus, a desire to coach and mentor a team is a must.
• Communication Excellence: Polished, clear, and professional written and verbal communication skills. You can confidently advocate for us with external insurance carriers and speak peer-to-peer with doctor clients.
• Autonomy: You are self-directed, resourceful, and highly organized. You track down details and fix bottlenecks before they become actual problems.
• Tech Requirements: Proficiency with Google Workspace and Mac OS (we are a Mac office, though we will provide training on Mac OS for an otherwise stellar candidate).
• Bonus Points: Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a huge plus!
