Work Environment\n

This position allows you to work primarily remotely, with the option of conducting face-to-face sessions as needed. Our office is situated in Tallahassee, Florida, within a community health clinic setting. This hybrid model not only provides flexibility for our team members but also enables us to reach a diverse range of clients in need of support. We operate 7 days a week, from 7 AM to 10 PM, ensuring our services are available when our clients need them most.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the history and needs of each patient, allowing you to identify suitable treatment strategies.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and client-specific goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing and growth.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, practice coping mechanisms, and enhance their emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, holistic care to our patients.

• Respond effectively to crisis situations, offering immediate support and intervention for trauma-related emergencies.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources to ensure ongoing support.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation as per legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and accountability in patient care practices.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities focused on building expertise in trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with the latest research, developments, and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your effectiveness as a provider.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with clients authentically and compassionately.

Compensation and Benefits\n
