Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview This position provides leadership, direction, and coordination of team members in maintenance with responsibilities for safety, quality, and project management. This role actively participates and supports a work environment focused on preventive maintenance and timely project support. Train or facilitate the training of new employees in all aspects of their job function Administer policies and procedures Liaison between cross-functional and supporting teams and team members Communicate and support strict adherence to quality standards Ensure quality goals and objectives are met on a daily basis Define Quality Goals, and method of measurement, within Maintenance Support the Quality Goals of Production Ensure efficient materials management Monitor unnecessary waste and correct when necessary Monitor and improve the management of tools, equipment and production processes. Is an active leader and coach to team members by focusing on an environment for them in which to be successful Passionate about supporting safety. Ability to identify root cause, implement corrective action where gaps to the goals exist – strong problem-solving skills Responsible for supporting new and current team member activities – performance, management, transfers, promotions and disciplinary processes Schedule work assignment to maximize efficiency Develop and monitor staffing plans to execute the schedule on time at the planned rate or better Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proven experience in leadership or similar role Experiences mold maintenance & repair Tiq weld experience preferred Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools Skills in MS Office Experience with implementing or maintaining PM and Maintenance Request Systems Experience with Arc-Flash, Hazmat and Fall Prevention requirements and practices a must Excellent organizing and leadership skills Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Self-motivated with a results-driven approach Working knowledge of PLC controls, Electric motors and drives, 3-phase electrical power required Education and Experience Minimum 6 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Working Conditions This job is in a typical manufacturing environment, to include: Torches Rotating tools Physical Requirements This individual will be walking and standing at various times of the day, as it requires a consistent presence on the production area.
