Insurance Billing SpecialistABA Pathways, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated Insurance Billing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Prior medical billing experience is required, and experience with ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) billing is preferred.This is a full-time remote position. The Insurance Billing Specialist will report directly to the Director of Finance and the CEO.Job DutiesUsing coded data to produce and submit claims to insurance companies including MedicaidWorking directly with the insurance companies, provider, and patients to get claims processed and paidAble to communicate clearly among employees, clients, and insurance companiesReviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claimsVerifying patients' insurance coverage, acting as liaison between insurance companies and clientsHandling collections of unpaid accountsGenerating Accounts Receivable reportsABA Billing experience preferredRequirementsOrganizedMeticulous attention to detailEfficientSelf-motivated and independentGood communication and customer service skillsCritical thinker, able to problem solveKnowledge of accounting billing systems and general search engine skill is a mustPosition is computer intensive and knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is requiredExperience with medical insurance billingWork EnvironmentThis is a remote position requiring a confidential home workspace.
