Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse - CVICU RN

Schedule: Night Shift

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36

Requirements:

Current State RN Licensure
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Recent open heart recovery nurse experience
Ability to operate advanced medical equipment including A-lines, invasive lines, and chest tubes
Experience in critical care and CVICU preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide care for hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit.
Offer physical, emotional, spiritual, and cultural support to patients and their families.
Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
Deliver direct patient care from admission to discharge, including discharge planning.
Monitor patients for potential deteriorating conditions and intervene as necessary.
