Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care for adult and pediatric patients, from neonates to geriatrics, in a high‑volume ED
- Perform rapid triage, initial assessment, monitoring, and ongoing vital signs to guide treatment decisions
- Establish and maintain IV access, draw blood for labs, and perform phlebotomy as required; administer IV medications and vasopressors
- Administer medications, participate in procedural sedation when appropriate, and support stroke/CVA care and isolation precautions
- Interpret dysrhythmias and respond to acute cardiac events; manage blood products and central line care as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV/Respiratory, PT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, RRT, Transport, Unit Secretary) and participate in rapid response and hospital flow coordination
- Document care in EPIC; adhere to PPE and isolation protocols; float to other units as census dictates

Requirements
- Active NY registered nurse license in hand to submit (pending licenses not accepted)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in emergency nursing; first-timers accepted
- Charting: EPIC experience required
- Ability to work nights and weekends; suitability for a fast-paced, high-acuity ED environment
- Must be able to perform phlebotomy and IV placements as part of core skills
