Description

• Assess and evaluate patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatrics utilizing both standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals as well as ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing necessities.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
• Work collaboratively with a multidimensional care team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive treatment approaches.
• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to aid progress and skill development beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity throughout patient care.
• Document all treatments accurately and promptly in accordance with state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized academic institution.
• Fulfillment of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is still in process.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
