Field Service Engineer 1

GE HealthCare seeks a Field Service Engineer to perform preventative maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and repairs on medical imaging equipment at healthcare facilities in the Houston, TX area. The role requires onsite customer support with occasional remote work and includes after-hours on-call availability.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on medical imaging equipment to ensure optimal patient care delivery
- Troubleshoot and execute basic repairs on customer equipment with minimal supervision
- Assist senior field engineers with complex equipment installations and repairs
- Maintain customer relationships through timely communication and issue resolution
- Document all service work daily and collaborate with support teams on corrective action plans
Requirements
- Associate degree in related field plus 2 years electronic equipment service experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 4 years relevant experience, or GEHC Apprentice Program graduate
- Valid driver's license and legal authorization to work in the United States
- Proficiency with web applications and Microsoft Office products
- Availability for after-hours and rotating on-call shifts including weekends
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Physical capability to lift 35 lbs unassisted and perform repetitive bending, climbing, and fine motor tasks
