Lead the flow of materials from plan to receipt

Picture a typical day: you start by reviewing MRP outputs and open orders in the ERP, confirm that safety stock, reorder points, and lead times are dialed in, and release purchase orders to keep production humming. Midday, you’re on the floor with your receiving team member, validating receipts and clearing any discrepancies. In the afternoon, you’re refining supplier master data, auditing cycle counts, and publishing inventory and purchasing dashboards that guide decisions for operations and customer delivery.

What you will own

• Keep raw materials, components, packaging, and operating supplies in stock to support production schedules and on-time customer commitments.
• Plan material requirements and continually tune safety stock, reorder points, and lead times to balance availability and working capital.
• Manage the full PO lifecycle—from creation and release through receipt and reconciliation—ensuring three-way match accuracy.
• Act as the ERP system power user and champion, driving adoption, training, and data integrity.
• Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, receiving, and supplier master data.
• Oversee daily receiving operations and directly supervise one team member.
• Run cycle counts, lead inventory audits, and process inventory adjustments with proper controls.
• Resolve supplier shipping issues, shortages, and routine quality concerns quickly and constructively.
• Develop and deliver inventory and purchasing reports that support operational decision-making.
• Continuously improve inventory control processes and ERP utilization.

• Inventory accuracy ≥ 98%
• On-time material availability ≥ 98%
• Stock-out rate < 2%
• Supplier on-time delivery ≥ 95%
• Receiving accuracy ≥ 99%
• All receiving transactions posted within 24 hours
• 100% completion of scheduled cycle counts
• High ERP data accuracy and process compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field (preferred).
• Demonstrated experience in inventory control and purchasing/procurement.
• Comfort presenting information 1:1 and to small groups.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficiency with inventory management tools and ERP systems.
• Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving strengths.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Work environment

• Primarily office and warehouse settings.
• Occasional travel to suppliers or distribution centers.
