Full-Time Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Sacramento, CA

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated team at Optimal Recovery Psychotherapy LTD. Optimal Recovery Psychotherapy LTD is a PT-owned outpatient practice located in Sacramento, California. Our facility boasts a state-of-the-art 5,000 square feet sports medicine center, designed to foster recovery and wellness. We take pride in providing high-quality care primarily to individuals with private medical insurance, collaborating closely with each patient to enhance their life quality. Our team currently consists of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), who are committed to delivering exceptional therapeutic services.

Work Environment

This onsite role is situated in a welcoming home care environment where each patient is valued and treated with respect. Being part of a small team allows for close collaboration and communication, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients alike. The work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet patients to discuss and understand their individual goals and physical therapy needs.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring each session is dedicated to providing personalized and effective care.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Develop cost-effective treatment plans that focus on reducing reliance on medications and avoiding surgical interventions when possible.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment progress systematically, ensuring that adjustments are made as needed for optimal outcomes.
• Create customized fitness and wellness programs tailored to each patient's ongoing physical requirements and health objectives.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment methodologies thoroughly in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, particularly WebPT.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
• Motivate and encourage patients to adopt healthier lifestyles, enhancing their strength, flexibility, balance, and overall function.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with orthopedic patients, ranging from those recovering from surgery to individuals seeking rehabilitative care for injuries and chronic pain. Our focus on personalized care means that you will get to know your patients and comprehensively understand their histories and unique challenges.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid DC licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• No history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise protocols.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically WebPT, is highly advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• A background in orthopedic outpatient settings is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience developing exercise and wellness programs tailored to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits
