About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Property Management to oversee a portfolio of complex, permanent, supportive housing properties. This role is pivotal in blending traditional property management with the coordination of social services to ensure tenant stability and link vulnerable residents with onsite case management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the oversight and performance management of property management teams, including Building Directors and Property Managers. Key duties include providing regular supervision, managing 24/7 building operations, ensuring compliance with housing codes and certifications, and holding property leadership accountable for operational and financial performance. The Assistant Vice President will also be instrumental in maintaining strong partnerships with onsite social services leadership and external partners. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of 10 years in supportive housing, social services, policy, or housing development, and at least 7 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. A strong background in affordable and supportive housing operations, as well as knowledge of local, state, and federal housing and social service regulations, is essential. The role requires excellent client service and people skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proven track record of collaborating with government agencies and external stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office is also necessary. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for the mission of the organization and a commitment to the principles of supportive housing and the effective solutions for addressing homelessness and housing insecurity.
