Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs, goals, and preferences of each client.

• Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address various mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders and facilitate discussions regarding treatment options and self-care practices.

• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to enhance effectiveness.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care and a holistic approach to treatment.

• Stay informed about the latest developments in mood disorder research to continually refine treatment strategies.

• Maintain confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultation and attend team meetings to optimize collaborative care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will primarily support clients suffering from mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. You will work with diverse populations, including individuals from marginalized communities such as the homeless, refugees, and domestic abuse victims, providing essential support services that address their unique backgrounds and experiences.

• A current and active state license is required as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
