As a key member of our team, you will provide expert mental health services in a supportive educational environment, contributing to the well-being and development of students enrolled in our Special Education Program.

Work Environment\n

This position offers a unique remote work setting, enabling flexibility while maintaining a connection to our clinic's core mission. You will be part of an innovative Mental Health Team that prioritizes emotional and psychological support, promoting a positive and inclusive culture. Your work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts, rotating weekends, and on-call availability as required.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to evaluate students' strengths and challenges.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with students, families, and other specialists.
\n
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the specific needs, including but not limited to individual and group therapy sessions.
\n
• Foster emotional well-being through the provision of counseling and support strategies.
\n
• Engage in crisis intervention, offering immediate support and establishing safety plans when necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with educators and allied health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
\n
• Educate students and families on mental health topics and available resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings to enhance team cohesion and service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client population includes children and adolescents with a range of special needs, particularly those with ASD, learning disabilities, ADHD, and other emotional and behavioral disorders. Your role will focus on creating a safe space for these students, where they can express themselves and learn effective coping mechanisms tailored to their unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid LCSW licensure in Texas.
\n
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders and therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
\n
• Proficient in the use of electronic health record (EHR) systems and computer applications.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.

• Experience in providing therapy in a school-based or special education setting.

• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and practices.
\n
