Job Opportunity – Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts / 36 hours per week / Rotating Day/Night schedule (rotates every 4 weeks)

Highlights:

• Patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:2 providing focused, high-acuity critical care
• EPIC electronic medical record system exclusively used throughout the facility
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and physical therapy
• Advanced specialized experience with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, DKA, liver failure, and renal failure
• State-of-the-art equipment including NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV pumps, GE cardiac monitors and ventilators, and boom lifts in each patient room
• Multiple parking options available with shuttle service to accommodate various schedules and budgets

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Current certifications: BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications only)
• Proficient IV start skills and telemetry experience
• Competency with ventilator management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Demonstrated competency in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous travel nursing experience
• Advanced proficiency in EPIC documentation system
• Specialized experience with continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients
