Locum - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Anesthesia

Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI is seeking a locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our hospital-based anesthesiology team on a full-time basis. This temporary position provides coverage for employee leaves and vacations, offering flexible day shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours within a Level 1 trauma center. Responsibilities:

• Deliver anesthesia care for a variety of inpatient surgical procedures, including general surgery, neurosurgical cases, and deep sedation/MAC
• Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff such as RNs, surgical technologists, and anesthesia technicians
• Provide preoperative assessments and patient education
• Administer anesthetics safely and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
• Manage ventilation and oversee physician-administered regional anesthesia
• Respond to patient emergencies in coordination with the healthcare team
• Document patient care and anesthesia management accurately in Epic EMR
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Work Schedule:

• Day shifts only (8, 10, or 12 hours) with no on-call or weekend requirements

Requirements:

• Not accepting new graduate candidates
• Must have current NBCRNA certification and BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Full state license required; candidates waiting for licensing are not eligible
• Locum coverage only; this position is not for permanent hire

Compensation:

• Hourly Pay Rate: $201.00

Credentialing: Estimated timeframe of 90-120 days. Temps have been requested.
