Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for a Critical Access Hospital treating patients across outpatient, inpatient, and SNF settings.

Critical Access Hospital with Level IV Trauma designation
Acute care facility with 46 staffed beds and 22 LTC beds
Therapy department treats outpatient, inpatient, and SNF patients of all ages and diagnoses
Specialty services include wound care, lymphedema, pelvic floor, and pediatrics
Day shift schedule, 5x8 or 4x10 hours, with traveler's choice of schedule
13 or 26-week contract length options
No weekend or on-call requirements
Float required within scope to cover Outpatient, Acute Care, and SNF
May be required to float between sister facilities
Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
BLS certification required
Active AK state license required (compact license accepted); license required if applicable
Epic charting experience required
Pediatric and adolescent experience preferred
First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
Responsibilities include evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation across multiple care settings and patient populations
Scrub color is flexible, business casual also accepted
Free on-site parking available
Facility provides housing, typically 1-bedroom apartments, for the duration of the assignment
Pets are not allowed in provided housing
Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
RTO requests should be submitted upfront; post-submission requests may not be accommodated
Local candidates not accepted; must live at least 50 miles from the facility
Former permanent staff may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they live outside the 50-mile radius
Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable setting
