Travel Physical Therapist Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,520–$2,700
• Start Date: December 7, 2026
• End Date: June 7, 2027
• Duration: 26 weeks
• Schedule: Day shifts; traveler’s choice of 5x8-hour shifts or 4x10-hour shifts
• Listed Shift: 10-hour days, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Call: Not required
• Weekend Requirement: None listed
• Documentation System: Epic
• Guaranteed Hours: 70 hours per two-week pay period, subject to assignment scheduling policies

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• At least 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
• Active Alaska Physical Therapist license; applicable compact license must be in hand at submission
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with electronic documentation; Epic experience required
• Ability to provide care across outpatient physical therapy, acute care, and skilled nursing settings within scope of practice
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, documentation, patient education, and care coordination skills
• Pediatric and adolescent therapy experience preferred, but not required
• Travelers must maintain a permanent address at least 50 miles from the assignment location; local candidates within the designated radius are not eligible

Outpatient Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients, establish individualized plans of care, and provide skilled physical therapy interventions
• Treat adult and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting and support coverage for acute care and skilled nursing patients as needed
• Provide therapy services related to orthopedic, neurologic, cardiopulmonary, postoperative, mobility, balance, and functional limitations
• Apply therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfer training, manual techniques, modalities, balance interventions, and patient-specific home exercise programs
• Support specialized services including wound care, lymphedema management, pelvic floor therapy, women’s health, and pediatric therapy when appropriate
• Document evaluations, treatments, progress, reassessments, and discharge planning accurately in Epic
• Educate patients and caregivers on safety, adaptive equipment, mobility strategies, home programs, and injury prevention
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team and float within the Physical Therapist’s scope to meet patient and department needs
