Job Description We are a fast‑paced, growing Hospitality & Catering Company looking for a Chef to join our team and prepare delicious meals for our customers. Chef responsibilities include assisting Executive Chef in the oversight of the culinary team, facilitating kitchen production, and preparing high‑quality dishes. Ideal candidates should be comfortable working in fast‑paced environments, be a team player, and be looking to grow in this growing company. Responsibilities Work with Chef Consultant to review Banquet Event Orders to create prep/production lists for kitchen workflow. Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans, and kitchen scales. Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients; prepare recipes to specifications indicated. Supervise Prep Cooks & assist as needed. Facilitate preparation for off‑site catered events (food, equipment, staff). Prepare food in a timely manner to meet deadlines indicated on BEO. Ensure appealing meal presentation. Delegate tasks as needed to other culinary team members. Monitor food stock & work with Chef Consultant to place orders. Monitor & facilitate inventory of paper goods & other culinary equipment. Check freshness of food and discard out‑of‑date items. Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area. Assist in hiring & training of culinary team members. Skills Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook. Hands‑on experience with various kitchen equipment. Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques. Leadership skills. Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks. Excellent time management abilities. Up‑to‑date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes. Familiarity with sanitation regulations. Minimum of 2–3 years experience preferred. Serv Safe certified.
