About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Special Care Nursery & Postpartum provides direct care to a specific patient population, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through effective communication and coordination with the healthcare team. Highlights Location: Brick, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease. Develop and coordinate a patient/family-focused plan of care. Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning technologies. Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes. Adhere to the American Nurses Association Code for Nurses. Requirements Education Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire Experience Minimum of six (6) months of relevant nursing experience required 2-3 years inpatient nursing experience in level 3 nursery or Special Care Nursery strongly preferred Licenses & Certifications Current RN License in NJ BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire ACLS certification strongly preferred About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
